This image is a work in progress. I've been trying to get a handle on CS5 and see what sort of things I can do---here I've managed to swap out the sky and add some whimsy, atop basic "darkroom" adjustments and color correction. More to do, I'll post the final product soon!

Looking Glass
This HDR image was processed using Photoshop CS5 from five different exposures. Compared to my previous HDR image, Barton Burns Bright, this image utilizes HDR capabilities to extend the tonal range and include shadow and highlight detail typically lost in a single exposure. I tried to keep this image realistic by comparison (to Barton Burns Bright) and bring out the detail in the surface reflection.

Barton Burns Bright
Working with HDR imaging; this image is composed of four different exposures combined in Photoshop CS5. Enhanced glowing edges and exaggerated detail give this image a painterly feel.
This type of imaging is pushing me out of my comfort level, but I am having a lot of fun creating crazy-wonderful scenes!

Strings
I have a lot of things going on in this image--I've been making an effort to practice different elements and techniques---and here I'm working on depth of field, perspective, lighting and overall composition. I'm also trying to think in black and white, and I believe this image is best served when reduced; I like the simplicity.
This image was taken with a Canon Rebel T1i using a short zoom lens:
53mm f/5.6 @ 1/80 ISO 1600
Thanks for viewing!

On the Line, in Color
This image was captured at f/5.6 @ 1/125 sec; ISO 200 with a zoom lens.
The image in B&W:
Grey Bear Bouncing
Caught this little guy having the time of his life!
In this photo I'm working with capturing motion, interior lighting, and manual adjustments for working in low-lighting.
I love how fun this photo is!

Horsing Around
J. grew up on a farm and I absolutely love all the character of the area; I was out composing pictures of the old wooden barn when this guy walked up to me to see what I was doing. Admittedly not a horse person, I was a bit startled, but this guy was merely curious --- and extremely patient with me--- while I composed this image. The lighting was lovely and golden; I may post the color image later so you can see how rich the sun made his coat look. I like the reduced, classic appeal of black and white, however, so this was my "final" composition.
..or so I think!
Happy exploring!
