On the Line, in Color

I loved the way the evening light was falling on these otherwise ordinary objects, illuminating the weathered wood and rusted coils with a splash of sunlight. When I took the image I was thinking in terms of black and white, but after I reviewed it carefully I fell in love with the bright green clothesline and warm, muted and slightly geometric tones of the background.

This image was captured at f/5.6 @ 1/125 sec; ISO 200 with a zoom lens.
